Owned by the Council this site has been leased to Bellway to develop into housing accommodation from its current use as a car park, behind Waitrose. It is also close to housing in Gresley Close and Oaklands College. As part of the Campus area it sits within the Town Centre Conservation area.
Two sets of plans have been developed to date which Together has seen. Those plans have not yet been able to resolve some of the difficulties with the site and so we expect to see revised plans at some point in 2025. These may be a mix of housing and flats.
We understand that the Council has required the developer to retain access to Gresley Close including by bike.
