Owned by Tarmac this site is partly on a former tip so is a complex, large site. It also straddles two local authorities – WelwynHatfield and East Hertfordshire.
Its 222 hectares (549 acres) will include 2,650 new homes with options for self build plots and custom build. The site will include 3 schools, space for healthcare, play areas and recreation facilities. Birchall Common, a new parkland, will be around twice the size of Stanborough Park.
