New Together trustees wanted

We are seeking to appoint two new Trustees to help shape, develop and implement our work to protect, preserve and promote Welwyn Garden City. No previous experience of being a trustee is required. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Together for Welwyn Garden City, a unique place-based charity.  Together has an active community of c.2.6K followers. We have enacted a diversity of income sources, which we intend to expand to ensure we remain a financially sustainable organisation.

As a Trustee, you will be a champion for the Garden City, advocating for the community and acting as an ambassador for the charity. You will work alongside a committed team of fellow Trustees and volunteers helping to shape strategy and ensure a thriving, sustainable future.

We are particularly looking to appoint Trustees who have experience in business/charity planning, legal, PR and communications skills, volunteer management, fundraising or project management. We have created a two year action plan too, and are looking for trustees who have experience or interest to ensure the plan is delivered. 

We are keen to improve the diversity of our Board and welcome applications from all sections of the community. 

Trustees will receive reasonable reimbursement of their expenses and support to help new trustees fulfil their role from existing trustees will be offered. We currently meet 6 times a year, in addition we spend 2-4 hours per month to progress the organisation.
